Aleix Vidal Quadras (1797-1883)

Manuel Vidal Quadras brother, he was enriched overseas (he left with his brother Manuel to Maracaibo in 1809 to help in the family business started by his father).
Back across the Atlantic, he built a house in 1855 next to his brother’s (C /. Davallada 12-14). It is a romantic-style mansion. Today it has become the “Miramar Building” and it belongs to the Diputació de Barcelona. The pantheon of Aleix Vidal Quadras is at The Sitges Cemetery: a single burial (Angel of Judgment), a work by Enric Sagnier.
