Sitges celebrates the 63rd edition of the Grape Harvest Festival (Verema) on October 18 and 20.
It is one of the most traditional festivals on the local festive calendar. The program of events, which will mainly take place in Plaza de la Fragata, includes the Wine Exhibition, the Verema opening speech, and the grape stomping contest, along with the weighing of the Pubilla and the Hereu in bottles of wine, as the main events.

The main events are scheduled for the weekend, with the highlights of the final day being the pressing of the first must, the 45th Grape Stomping Contest and the weighing of the Pubilla and the Hereu with their equivalent in wine,.
As part of this event, the 17th Wine Exhibition at La Fragata will take place, allowing visitors to taste products from more than fifteen exhibitors. The festival will feature traditional events and parallel activities centered around the world of wine and its culture.
The program will kick off on Friday, October 18, with the Wine Exhibition, offering a fair showcasing the wine production from the Garraf and Penedès regions at La Fragata.
Grape Harvest Festival – Verema Sitges 2024
The main celebration will be on Sunday, October 20, with more traditional events such as the pressing of the first must, which will be offered at the church of Sant Bartomeu and Santa Tecla, and the Grape Stomping Contest, which this year reaches its 45th edition and has significant participation from local groups. The weighing of the Pubilla and the Hereu of Sitges with their equivalent weight in bottles of wine, and the Habanera singing accompanied by burnt brandy will close the Grape Harvest Festival 2024.
The event is organized by the local entity Foment de Sitges, in collaboration with the Sitges City Council and sponsored by Bodegas Familia Torres.
