Joan Roig i Soler (1852-1909)

Born in Barcelona and studied at the School of Fine Arts of La Lonja. He was closely bound to Sitges where he lived since 1881 and started there with Arcadi Mas i Fontdevila the catalan Escola Luminista. Style looking like the Impressionism before the Santiago Rusiñol and Ramon Casas Modernism, who contacted with Sitges through him.
