Lola Anglada (1896-1984)

Children’s stories writer and illustrator born in Barcelona. She studied at the School of Fine Arts of La Lonja.

She had good relationships with Antoni Utrillo, Llaverias Joan, Joan Miró, Francesc Macia, Josep Clara … She committed to democratic values and the Catalanist cause.

In Sitges, her doll collection can be visited at the Museu Romantic (over 400 collection of antique dolls, some of the 17th century) donated by the writer in 1960.

In the c/Jesus some of the ceramic tiles rewarding the best Corpus flower carpets are signed by Lola Anglada.
