Patchwork Sitges2020
POSTPONED Patchwork Sitges 2020:
For sixteenth consecutive years, the Spanish Patchwork Association (AEP) has been organising the International Patchwork Festival in Sitges. This year the event will take place from the 12th to 15th March 2020.
The Spanish Patchwork Association, in charge of organizing the Patchwork Festival, in collaboration with the City Council of Sitges, has decided to postpone the celebration of the event to a new date. The decision was made after the Government of the Generalitat announced on Wednesday the 11th of March, the new measures because of the situation caused by the Coronavirus, in which it has to be postponed or suspended all outdoors or indoors events with a capacity of more than 1,000. people.
The Festival was to be held from 12 to 15 March with 116 exhibitors. Now the organization and the City Council are working to find a new date for the Festival that could be next fall.
Over these dates, the general public may view a variety of international exhibitions as well as the AEP exhibition of work that has been submitted by associates who are opting for an award.
This year’s theme is “Locos por la música” (crazy about music).
It is currently the most important event in the world of patchwork in Spain, also an internationally known event that has great popularity and with an influx of more than 25,000 people.
