The British School of Barcelona (BSB), accredited as one of the best British schools in the world, has announced that enrolment is now open for Pre-Nursery children at their BSB Sitges campus located in Urbanització Vallpineda (Sitges) starting September 2022.
This is an extension of their current Early Years provision (Nursery and Reception). Children aged 2 will now be able to start their learning journey at BSB during the academic year 2022-2023. This is a fantastic opportunity for those families who wish to give their very young children the best foundation for later learning and for life.
BSB Pre-Nursery and Early Years is where children’s love for learning will be brought to life. The individually tailored experiences led by highly-qualified native English-speaking staff ignite the natural curiosity that’s found in every child.
BSB offers an inclusive, immersion approach to teaching and acquiring language. When a child enters the BSB Pre-Nursery setting, the school works in partnership with families to ensure that they are sensitive to every child’s already established home routines, and they ensure the child develops a strong sense of security and belonging when they are away from home. Children are then able to enjoy freedom of movement and expression in the innovative and creative early years environments at BSB, both indoors and out, that inspire learning and promote the child’s individual development and uniqueness.
New flexible weekly schedule and day offer
Since every family has different preschool needs, from September 2022, BSB is also extending their timetable options for families with younger children, so that the school week will now allow families to have choice in the number of days their child/children attend their unique early years setting.
This flexible weekly schedule and day offer programme caters for children of 2 and 3 years of age starting Pre-Nursery at BSB Sitges and Nursery at BSB Sitges and BSB Castelldefels in September 2022.
This flexible programme is as individual as each child. Families can choose the number of school days, tailor the timetable with extended care or stay-and-play time, and organise their week in the way that best suits their child and family.
Depending on the child’s needs, families can choose from a 3, 4 or 5 day week, or if they prefer, 5 half days.
Whichever the option chosen, all prime areas of learning will be covered, including Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Communication and Language, Physical Development, Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World and Expressive Arts & Design, through BSB’s innovative Curiosity Approach to early childhood.
