Héctor Delgado, a notable figure in the flamenco world, stands out not only for his virtuosity on the guitar but also for his deep commitment to innovation and musical exploration. Coming from a family with deep roots in flamenco, Héctor has inherited both the legacy and the passion for this ancestral art.

“El Balansí” (the Valencian) is the title of Héctor Delgado’s first solo album. Denoting the inhabitants of Muslim Valencia (Balansiya), in this work, Héctor Delgado combines the roles of composer and performer. It consists of nine original works for flamenco guitar, including various styles, all in a concert-like style: soleá, tarantas, granaína, tientos, alegrías, bulerías, rondeña, fandangos, and seguiriyas. It is a solo flamenco guitar album recorded in a live style.
