Sitges Carnival 2023 will be held from 16th to 22nd February, ending with the burial of His Majesty Carnestoltes.
This year the Carnival will be celebrated with total normality, featuring the traditional parades, parties and the multitude of acts and events that make Sitges Carnival one of the 10 best carnivals in the world.

The Sitges Carnival Parades have scheduled times:
SUNDAY: at 12h00 noon for children and at 19h30 for adults
TUESDAY: at 12h00 noon for children and at 21h00 for adults
The parade will begin from Avenida Sofia (in front of the Pic Nic Restaurant) and finish at Cap de la Vila (see attached map).
Upon the Arrival of His Majesty Carnestoltes on Thursday, February 16th, this years’ Carnival Queen will be presented to all, followed by the Predicot (opening speech). This year the Predicot will be delivered from La Fragata, (below the church), instead of from the Town Hall balcony.

His Majesty Carnestoltes I and the Sitges Carnival Queen, with their respective entourages, will arrive at La Fragata. They will need all the warmth of the villagers to receive them properly. Punctuality and a desire to have fun are requested. His Majesty Carnestoltes I, will read the Predicot (speech) in the same place and will take the government from the mayoress so that debauchery reigns in Sitges during the whole Carnival week.

H.R.M. Carnestoltes and H.M. the Carnival Queen 2023 and their respective entourages will visit the schools and kindergardens to bring the Carnival to all.
H.R.M. Carnestoltes and the Queen invite all boys and girls to prepare costumes and decorate their classrooms and schools.

From the epicenter of our Sitges (Cap de la Vila) that started so many carnival ruas, and for the most nostalgic of our beloved Carnival, the Rua d’Antes returns for another year. The group with sharper teeth than Carlos Baute (Colla Huerto’s) will be in charge of animating the meeting point. There will also be the presence of Her Majesty Carnestoltes I, The Carnival Queen and all the people who want to come dressed as they like. A “charanga” will liven up the party until it reaches Plaça de la Fragata. See you there!

H.R.M. OPERUS PRIMUS Carnestoltes I, the Carnival Queen 2023, the Children’s Carnival Queen 2023 and their respective entourages, will visit the Municipal Market accompanied by the BKT Brass Band
COSTUME BED RACE
11:00h Presentation and exhibition of the disguised beds participating in the race. Enlivened by the carnival groups NO K-LIA, LLANTOS, PANXAMPLES and HUERTO’S in Cap de la Vila.
12 h Departure of the crazy costumed bed race from Casino Prado’s doors and which takes back the center of the town.
The Queen of Carnival and the Children’s Queen will give the start and close the route together with S. M. Carnestoltes with the animation of the charanga.
At the end of the race, the winning groups will be awarded, this year, with new and more fun prizes.

Having said farewell to His Majesty Carnestoltes, Sra. Cuaresma (Mrs. Lent) arrives on Paseo de la Ribera, ending a magnificent week of excess and sin, bringing a note of common sense.
Route: paseo de la Ribera, Bonaire, Parellades and Cap de la Vila, where Sra. Cuaresma will read her very peculiar Vegetable Manifest and hand out sugared “Buñuelos” (wind fritters).
